Moved to New Cumberland WV from a town in eastern PA with a lot of Sicilian and Italian people so the Sicilian pizza and regular pizza/food was great there. The other pizza here is fine but couldn't find anything like we had where I used to live until we tried here, place has great Sicilian pizza, and just great food in general is great, reminds of where I grew up. Food is reasonably priced too, cheaper than other places that are nowhere near as good. Ran by a little old Italian or Sicilian lady and what I'm assuming is her husband. I live like 35 to 40 minutes away and it's worth the drive every time. The inside of the store is closed since covid so you have to call and order and pick up at the drive thru.
We love Pitteras pizza, the pepperoni rolls are my favorite. The salads are always fresh and crisp. The service in store or out for delivery is always exceptional.
They close on random days without announcing it. When they are open, they ignore the phone. I'm honestly not sure how they stay in business. It is simply impossible to order from them most of the time. The pizza and calzones are fantastic if you can manage to find them when they feel like opening.
The stuffed foccacia and the calzones are fantastic. The stuffed foccacia takes 2 to 3 hours to prepare so order early. A true gem in the Ohio Valley.
This pizza is the Best, Ohio valley style pizza to date... De Carlos is good. Bruno's is good but as far as texture and consistency this pizza takes the Cake.. what I want to know is why do they all taste the same?? It's like they're using the same supplier. Same cheese source, same sauce, same everything... The only thing that changes is the texture.. would it be too much to ask to add some spices to the sauce or maybe use a aged provolone? Anyhow, this pizza is single-handedly the best pizza in Ohio that I found so far.. and West Virginia.. If you like crispy crunchy crust with the Ohio valley style sauce and cheese. This is the pizza for you.. I have three other pizza places in my local area that taste exactly the same but this one seems to do it correctly.. this is the pizza that I will be buying in the Ohio valley region until I find one that is different..
I love the white pizza with steak. Update 7/7/22: I’ve had some issues in recent times. Once my white pizza order was actually regular pizza instead. The other time I called and asked for steak and they said we don’t carry that. Since covid the drive thru window is the only way to pick up pizza which is annoying.
Would like to give a shout out to Pittera Pizza in Steubenville.... This was our first time having their pizza and it was delicious😋 We got the round thin crust and a 9 piece square cut. Both were equally good. The crust was cooked perfect, the sauce had a good clean taste, and the perfect amount of cheese. We will definitely be adding them to our favorites. The only thing that would have made it better is if they added a little more sauce, most of it cooked into the crust.
I love their calzone. The pizza is delicious (actually now my favorite pizza period). Philly steak panini is quite tasty also. I have yet to eat a bad meal here. They also best wedding soup around. Keep up the fantastic work, I really appreciate it. Service/delivery is fast, courteous. Haven't had a bad experience.
